BAMS (Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery), the recognized degree in Ayurveda all over India, Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (B.A.M.S.) is an integrated health degree in India, talked to those who have studied the integrated scheme of up to date medicine and traditional Ayurveda. The degree is of five and half year length, encompassing 1 year internship after passing 12th research. The individual having a B.A.M.S degree can perform any place in India. The curriculum includes revising and teaching of up to date anatomy, physiology, values of medicine, preventive and communal surgery, pharmacology, toxicology, forensic surgery, ENT, Ophthalmology, values of surgery, etc. along with Ayurvedic topics.

Ayurveda, which literally means “The Science of Life,” is the traditional healing science of India. Ayurvedic medicine is globalized and modernized which is practiced across the whole world especially in Western world.

In the Western World, Ayurveda therapies and practices have been integrated in general wellness applications and as well in some cases in medical use with a huge demand of Graduate’s graduating from Indian Universities.

To practice Ayurvedic medicine, one has to obtain B.A.M.S degree which is all most equivalent to M.B.B.S degree. BAMS (Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery is the only professional Degree Course In Ayurveda, And Recognized By Government Of India (Central Council of Indian Medicines). BAMS admission started for the session 2016. Direct admission can be done in Top BAMS college.

Eligibiliy

Passed Intermediate Science/Pre-Medical Course/12 year of 10+2 or equivalent examination with a minimum of 50% marks (40% in case of SC/ST candidates) in English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology taken together. Candidates appearing in the qualifying examination may also apply.

Age : Completed 17 years but not crossed 32 years as on 31st December of the year of admission.

Duration

The Under-graduate Course, Ayurvedacharya (Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery) is of 5½ years duration (4½ years of the main course and 6 month internship).
